If walls could talk would they tell us who passed by, who planned wars, who loved , met secretly, sung songs or danced here in the last 500 yrs?  Layer upon layer of weather, plaster , and paint are left, with scratches, notes, and scars to indicate the past.  In my paintings I try to interpret those textures, colors,  patinas and crustiness that only nature and time can truly create.  Just under the surface of each painting, rich combinations of forms and colors are interwoven to suggest a place or emotion for the viewer—his own interpretation of what may have taken place near the wall..
